Difficulty depends on the pipework and access, rather than the number of devices used
The four guide categories above combine two criteria: non-invasive or invasive investigation, and straightforward or complex. The number of areas and homes to check, available access and the need for an opening can change the work involved.
A fitting hidden behind furniture may become visible without destructive work. Conversely, a hatch may allow us to see the leak without providing enough room to repair it. Our team's reports show both situations: the investigation method and repair work need to be distinguished in the quote.
The methods are part of the investigation
Thermal imaging, moisture readings, dye tests and video inspections are chosen according to the questions that need answering. The price covers the investigation as a whole: we do not automatically add separate camera and dye-test packages together.
An opening to confirm a leak serves a different purpose from an opening to repair it
We prioritise non-destructive checks. If the defect remains concealed, we may propose a targeted opening to expose it. If the leak is already located but tools cannot reach it, the opening provides repair access. Its purpose and extent are explained before approval.

The quote defines the scope before work starts
You know the planned investigation, travel costs, applicable taxes and payment terms. Any additional investigation is proposed before it is carried out. Repairs are covered by a separate quote.
Our first conversation helps clarify the access needed and the scope of your investigation.
Your questions before the visit
Are repairs included in the leak detection price?
They are quoted separately. The diagnosis may identify a seal, fitting or area to open; the work needed is explained before you decide.
Does visiting two flats change the quote?
It may change the access arrangements and extent of the checks. The scope and conditions are agreed before the visit, rather than based on the number of photographs or stains alone.
What happens if another visit is needed?
The remaining checks and their conditions are explained before approval. Unavailable access or a point still concealed should not be presented as an investigation completed without reservations.
Does insurance always reimburse the investigation?
Cover depends on the policy and the case. We support you with an illustrated report; cover and payment arrangements are checked with the relevant parties. Questions to ask before the visit.
